Jane and Patrick decide to escape the gossip of a scandal in London by heading over to Ibiza, the party island, with their eight-year-old son George in tow.
Also on the island that week is a TV reality show involving an eccentric artist, a horny It Girl, a Brazilian footballer and a famous magician.
Jane is desperate to be on the programme, leaving childcare in the not so capable hands of a teenager.
One lesbian escapade and an explosive row over hair removal later, the contestants of Ibiza or Bust leave the island with more than sand in places they never knew existed

Well, if you were in any doubt that the island of Ibiza is the party island then you won’t be proven wrong here! It’s got it all – Beachside Olympics, Ibiza of bust, the reality show which can match Towie and the worst parts of it at that and then some! Never mind sex on the beach, there is all kinds of things going on on the beach, off the beach and everywhere in between. Even the poor old town, with its historical mix of narrow streets and quaint alleyways, gets a unique spin on it.
Benirras Beach seems to be the place where the Beach Olmpics kicks off – in the north of the island, its a beach of half sand and half pebbles, but also very isolated and natural. There are challenges galore such as Ibiza (or Bust) Fun- lympic. “There are no losers on Ibiza” is the phrase used.
There is a range of characters here – British expats and those visiting are not exactly who you would hope to bump into on an island holiday! But you’ll have fun when you’re there. If you remember it when you head back home that is.
