Cheltenham Square with its regency houses and pretty facades…just what lies behind those curtains
Regency Square in Cheltenham is known for its tranquility and quiet residents. There’s only ten houses there so it’s a nice tight community in which to live. Until one summer’s evening when rivalries and hidden tensions come to the surface and an arrow is fired through one of the open windows, killing the man inside number 6.
Meanwhile a few doors down at number 8, the crime writer Aldous Barnet, staying with his sister at no 8 invites his friend Superintendent Meredith to stay. No sooner does he arrive then he becomes involved in the investigation. Who would shoot an arrow through an open window. The list of suspects starts with six – for there are six of the square’s in habitants who are members of the local Archery Club….
