What you need to know before your trail

Princess Peony is the youngest of seven sisters, all of whom want to grow up to have pretty dresses and marry a prince. Princess Peony however wants to learn and when she gets to go to the library one day, she realises this is where she loves to be.

She also loves baking, and after borrowing a book from the library she starts making her own pies in the palace kitchen. She loves cherry pie the best. However,  when her father, the king, finds out, he bans  her from ever setting foot in the kitchen again.

What’s a princess who loves cakes and books to do?

Libraries and books everywhere

Princess Peony’s sisters go into the library and wonder if there is not something more interesting they could put  on the shelves, but PRincess Peony is amazed at what she sees:

“I absolutely LOVE your library! Please tell me, where are the story books? And what are those big old books over there? Can anyone borrow books?” And then, leaning over the librarian’s desk , her eyes wide and hopeful, she whispered, “Are there any books that tell  you how to DO things? Like…cooking?
