As an old house is demolished in a gentrifying section of London, a workman discovers a tiny skeleton, buried for years. For journalist Kate Waters, it s a story that deserves attention. She cobbles together a piece for her newspaper, but at a loss for answers, she can only pose a question: Who is the Building Site Baby?
When the story appears in the newspaper, most people might read it but not really give it a second glance.Others are quietly interested. Some ghoulishly so, but for three women, they have more interest than most to be not just interested but concerned.
For one woman, it’s a reminder of the worst thing that ever happened to her. For another, it reveals the dangerous possibility that her darkest secret is about to be discovered.
