2000s: Fancy tea in a lovely castle – and be like the Queen for the day?
Imagine running the little tea shop in a castle? For Ellie Hall, it’s her dream job as well as being a nice change from her city job. No noise and chaotic scenes here. With spreadsheets instead of scones, it’s a much nicer working day. That and the fact that she’s continuing her Nanna’s baking legacy.
Lord Henry however is the only thing to spoil the nice mix. He’s the owner of the castle but is as old fashioned as some of the exhibits inside its crumbling walls. Ellie thinks she has a cup cake to make things a little bit sweeter however.
Slowly but surely, she starts to win the locals over, including teashop stalwart, Doris.
All that Ellie is missing now is the cherry on the top!
