Karolina is a doll who used to live in the land of dolls. One day she wakes up in a doll shop in Krakow. It’s 1940 and is a dangerous time for everyone, particularly the Jews, as the Nazis march into Poland.
This is the story of Karolina and her magical friends who show the reader what it was like under the Nazi regime and living everyday with the threat of Nazi violence.
