Her parents divorce and she’s left in the middle, wanting attention, friends and something to focus on. So when she meets a group of girls, she becomes fixated on them and wants to be part of their group. She eventually joins their little community where life is free and easy, you are surrounded by your own new family and life is good.

Travel Guide

The story of a cult

“I look up because of the laughter and kept looking because of the girls”

“I notice their hair first, long and uncombed. Then their jewelry cathg the sun. The three of them were far enough away that i saw only the periphery of their features, but it didn’t matter – I knew they were different from everyone else in the park”

This is the story of a  carefree Californian summer and how  a girl can get enthralled by what she’s missing and find an attachment to something she gets brainwashed by.

The book is loosely based on the events of the Manson murders. Charles Manson was born in Ohio in 1934 and is notoriously connected to the murder of actress Sharon Tate as well as many other victims although it was his loyal band of followers of the so-called Manson family who were the actual killers. He was arrested and found guilty and is currently being held in the Corcoran State Prison in California
