Since opening up their day spa, The Haven, the wonderful women of the Hot Flash Club have been busy indulging the beleaguered, nerve-frazzled throngs. Now, it’s the friends’ turn to grab some soothing, and much-deserved R&R.When a long-time Haven client asks the gals to housesit her Nantucket hideaway for the summer, they’re beyond thrilled; the cozy island enclave is the perfect place to shop, swim, chill, and plan Marilyn’s upcoming wedding to Ian, her Scottish fiancé. And Marilyn desperately needs the break, since Ian’s grown son has crashed at the couple’s place with no departure date in sight.
Immerse yourself in a carefree and sandy paradise of a Nantucket summer. The Nancy Thayer version of Nantucket really is somewhere to relax and see the dramas of other people’s lives play out other than your own.
The women in the club are in for a treat when they have their holidays and spare time here.
The Beaches are a particular draw and there’s plenty of them on this island! Brant Point Beach is particularly nice and a short walk from town. The 40th Pole beach is
great for families and young children, as there are fewer waves this side of the island.
As they make their way down South Water Street toward the Whaling Museum, their feet might wander toward the music and laughter pouring out into the street. This is where you’ll find some of the best restaurants and bakeries.
This is an island for cycling, visiting lighthouses, spending time on the beaches and feeling fit in the fresh air.
The island has three lighthouses and an interesting Whaling Museum which encapsulates the island’s history.
