Paris at the start of the century and the eve of a great art contest. This is a grand affair however to be held at the Royal Palace of Art in the city of light – Paris. Painters and artists come from far and wide to see other’s work and to showcase their own in the hope that they will be touted as the next best artist.
So when an unknown comes onto the scene with the picture of a duck, he is almost laughed out of the contest. But it does look really realistic, and then the painted duck quacks.
Somewhere else, his canvas decorated with the painting of a snake is now suddenly empty…
