2000s: They call him the lady killer…
George Markham has a nasty little hobby and a nastier little secret. An abusive past has turned him into a man who likes to abuse. But what starts out as a fantasy and sick hobby turns into something all together more vicious and depraved.
When his sick activity attacks the daughter of THE London hardman Patrick Kelly, you just know this is not going to end well and that blood will be shed in tracking Markham down in the only way Kelly knows how.
The West End with its range of shops and dubious businesses is Patrick Kelly’s patch but he’s an East End boy at heart. From the area of East Ham and you never forget where you’re from and who your family is. That’s the code you abide by and die by if necessary.
This is a world of violence, prostitution, sex shops, massage parlours and goodness knows what else. The police are hardly the models of society here but then some of them are East end boys themselves
But this a world controlled by the hard men – Patrick will stop at nothing to track down her murderer and bring him to his kind of rough justice.
DI Kate Burrows’ world comes to merge with that of Patrick Kelly’s – and the characters are endless – The old bill , the birds and skirts, the filth etc
A unique picture of East End London
