Travel Guide

Kent – Botany Bay

Queensbay, Kent (c) Wikipedia

Queensbay, Kent (c) Wikipedia

The town of Queensbay in the novel is fictional yet is loosely based on the real town of Botany bay. this is  a lovely place with a gorgeous beach and plenty of caves! But watch out for people in groups playing guitars and someone named Idris (unless his last name is Elba and then you’re fine 😉

TheBotany Bay hotel inspired the Bay hotel which inspired the hotel where one of the characters stays. Botany Bay also features plenty of white chalk cliffs as in the novel.
