Notting Hill, London. One May evening, seventeen-year-old Maggie Parker’s mother walks out of their front door and doesn’t return . But can he help solve the mystery of her mother’s disappearance?

The city in all its gothic splendour comes alive in the book – even though it’s set quite recently in 1998 and 2019, the city feels old, lost and forgotten with its dark corners and secret crevices. The main areas of note are Notting Hill with all the history and modern day interest in that area.
