What you need to know before your trail

Mrs Wood is the London’s most celebrated medium, having survived decades in the competitive world of contacting the Other Side hosting packed-out séances for Victorian high society.

But, with rival young mediums dazzling audiences across the city, the allure of London’s most established star might be starting to wane. And then, at one of her routine gatherings, she hears something truly terrifying: a yawn.

So, Mrs Wood takes on a young protégé to spice up her show. But does her new pupil pose more of a threat to Mrs Wood’s reputation than she could imagined?

Travel Guide

London

London in 1873 is full of those gorgeous hansom cabs, horses and cobbled streets and we are driven around from one house to another on the grandest squares in the capital. Mrs Woods gives personal seances in her home and attends the richest homes to talk about spiritualism and do seances. Oh to see inside these homes is very special indeed! You get to see the fine silks, the stunning decor and the poshest hallways.

But it’s the seances in the dark rooms that are the most interesting. Oh there’s walks in the parks to lighten the book but the dark seances and the dark secrets of what goes on behind the scenes is just wonderful.
