Parshuraman Joshi is hot property on the marriage market. His family are being inundated with marriage offers for him. It’s not every Indian 27 year old who is intelligent, handsome, with a good job in IT, oh and lives in Canada.
But Parshuraman doesn’t really like feeling like a prize. His family have tried to get him settled before, but attempts have failed.
It’s not that he doesn’t want to get married, he’s just got a lot on his mind. His colleague Jennifer for one and the major project he’s got on at work. Life in general really. Will he ever do what’s expected and settle down?
Parshuraman Joshi as the lead character of this novel is stuck between two worlds. His past in India and his present and future in Canada. His two lives are very different but he feels links to both. The life he has carved for himself in his adopted country and the life his family want for him based on his Indian heritage.
There’s a lot revealed in this book about Indian families and what is expected of them. Marriage is probably the main one and for Parshuraman’s family, choosing the correct bride is a huge undertaking. Family honour and tradition rest on getting it right. Many live in the same house as their families.
Imagine your potential father in laws calling you in the middle of the night!!
Life in the IT world is Parshuraman’s new life. The IT world is his life, Project Infinite is his goal, but don’t worry as it’s his passion for the job and his busy life. Jennifer is so unlike the women the family would approve of. So when they both go to work in India for the project…..cultures clash and tempers fray.
Merging, marrying and managing are not going to be easy in any worlds.
