Various times: They should have stayed as one. They couldn’t survive apart.
Twin sisters Calida and Teresita Santiago have led a very different path in life through no fault of their own. Two sisters who believe the other one no longer cares about them but neither of them know the truth. That the reason for this has nothing to do with them but their very own mother.
As both sisters continue along two very different paths from ARgentina, Holly wood and New York the bond is never truly broken.
But then Teresita goes missing and the bond will become more important than ever
In rural Argentina, the story starts on an Estancia where the sisters live with their parents. Chalk and cheese does’t even cover these two. Such humble beginnings from this one rural and evocative place. Early life builds up to show and reveal just why the sisters do what they do following their early childhood.
If you thought that Holly wood was all sex and glitz, well it is judging by this novel! Read this on a kindle to avoid blushing on the train. Indulge in the very vivid lives of the stars and their entourage and where they hang out when not on set. Where does fake start and fantasy spiral out of control? Here it would seem….
Tess Geddes, a world famous actress, has disappeared in New York. A city which never sleeps has seemingly slept through her disappearance and no one seems to know where she is. The city’s maze of streets becomes like a labyrinth of aimless clues and directions.

I remember reading this book vividly for I was on a train and I was sat next to a man reading David Cameron’s biography in hardback. Then there was me reading Victoria Fox’s latest bonkbuster and I chuckled at the literary paradox I was now in whilst also wondering during the Hollywood scenes if the world of Westminster was anywhere near. See this is what this book does to you, it takes your mind to places it’s never been before and is all the better for it.
Then as he got off the train, an elderly woman got on and started reading a gritty crime thriller. Was this the literary carriage I asked myself – she wore enough diamond looking items to sink a ship and that made me smile as I thought of the novel. This was just too funny!
But I digress, the novel was a sexy, rambunctious read with at the heart of it, a really tragic story of twins separated by one lie. And the ripples of that one lie across the years.
This was a literary slap on the bottom, a slap on the back and a few tugs of the old heartstrings too
