The village is nicely evoked in the novel but it’s really only a backdrop to the naughty things that go on behind the closed doors of a certain street!
The village gives it a nice, well established edge, with posh cafes and a nice pond on Wimbledon Common.
There’s the tennis nearby of course. Well, there’s plenty of couples games in this book!
