London
This book is set in London but to be fair, the main setting is the ballet and world of magic that oozes from every page. This is also a world of darkness despite the magical aspect of the novel.
Inspired by Swan Lake, there is all kinds of emotions and themes in the book. The ‘scenes’ are magical -from the extravagant parties, to the scenes in Paris. What shines however, is the frost that covers and chokes the abandoned house and the land around it.
Remember, if you see papers floating down from the sky and one of them says. Second star to the right and straight on ’til morning’ be sure to do what it says as this is an invitation to a very special party….
