What he discovers will bring him into conflict with powerful enemies, and force him to face his personal demons
A beautiful, unidentified Japanese woman is found murdered in the shadow of a warehouse owned by one of Singapore’s most powerful families. This is the opening scene and we are thrust into the dark and dank atmosphere of Singapore’s dockland. The shadows of what goes on here are interesting but not ones you would want to see in real life.
This is a novel which showcases the multi-faceted culture of the city and country and its political past. There are interesting scenes which show how the British ruling classes actually were and how the culture and heritage of the region survived but also suffered.
