The dead couple Cecilia and Patrick, brought a Vietnamese orphan into their home to love and give a better life to.Now poor Ella Andergren is missing. Karin, the forensics expert has also adopted from Vietnam. Suddenly things seem lot closer to home. Whilst demons haunt Malin and others, some of them seem to speak from the other side…
This is a landscape scarred by ugliness and children who are the victims here. This is a Sweden, a Linköping which is cold and brutal. This Sweden is one riddle with inequality and the links with Vietnam, the chance that suspect adoption agencies are at the forefront of something sinister is a chilling thought..
