Cathy herself lives in Lambley and this could be the inspiration for the village of Woodby as it does have a similar feel in some ways! She got the idea after attending the funeral of a family member several years ago and has said:
“When you go to funerals it really makes you examine your own mortality and priorities. I got that idea from the general conversation – what if someone really goes for it and takes that carpe diem message to heart?”
