Estelle moves out and Benedict vows to win Estelle back – but he doesn’t know how.
One rainy night, after a disappointment with Estelle, Benedict is alone in his house once more, when there’s a knock at the door. Thinking his wife has returned Benedict answers to find a young stranger on his doorstep. The girl announces that she is his sixteen-year-old niece, Gemma, and that she’s arrived from America to stay with him for the summer.
Gemma and Bill decide to make a deal. She can stay with him for the summer but, in turn, she will help him with operation WEB – Win Estelle Back…

“Noon Sun”
The fictional village where the Benedict Stone lives is of course fictional but that shouldn’t stop you searching for it, as if you find it, you’ll never want to leave.
It’s a village carved from charm and emotion. Benedict lives with grief and neglect now his wife has left him and his family has failed to materialize so this village might be where his house is, but it’s no home.
Each chapter bears the name of a gemstone and lists its meaning and as Benedict teaches Gemma about the gems, they glisten like never before.
Since the village is only the backdrop of the story and is of course fictional, the booktrail gives a few hints as to some hidden gems of villages to discover up and down the country
