Here are a few books out in April to look out for – they have great travel potential!
Book set in Stockholm -Golden Cage -Camilla Lackberg
If you’ve not read Camilla Lackberg before (and if not, why not?) you’ll soon see that this novel is a major departure from her usual crime fiction – and there’s a lot to enjoy here! This is a sexy no holds barred tale of physiological tale of revenge and more. The story starts with a woman who lives with her perfect husband in her perfect home and life. Except all is not what is seems and soon life begins to unravel in ways no-one could have expected. Revenge is on the menu, and this wife is hungry…
Lots of thrills, some very sex-fuelled scenes and you know what they say about a woman scorned….
Book set in Paris – Last Summer in Paris – Sarah Morgan
Aah a visit to Paris with Sarah Morgan is always welcome, but now that the sun is peeking out behind the clouds, there’s even more sun to enjoy in this book!
One charming bookshop, two unlikely friends, and a summer in Paris that will change their lives forever…What’s not to like about that!?
Book set in Paris – The Parisian – Isabelle Hammad
This is the story of a man – Midhat Kamal who is in France studying but whose heart never leaves his Middle Eastern roots. When the politics there turn nasty, he is forced to confront who he is and where he wants his life to go. From the tumultuous Middle East to the dinner tables of Montpellier and a familiar, yet unfamiliar Paris, this is a novel about the struggle for independence on the human as well as the geopolitical one…
Book set in Iceland – The Island – Ragnar Jonasson
Well if it’s a chilling mystery you’re after, this is it! Ragnar has always delivered on chilling, twisty mysteries and this one set on a very remote island, is just the ticket. There’s two timelines, a dark mystery from the past, a crime in the present day and lots of people with hidden secrets! Recommended!
Book set from Teeside to Chernobyl – Chemical Detective -Fiona Erskine
Already out on kindle but out in April in HB – Now this is a very unique thriller. Written by a woman who has experience of the industry she writes about and who has taken that and twisted it into a knotty and gritty thriller in the world of engineering and nuclear physics. Now, there’s words you might not associate with gritty thriller, but you haven’t read this yet! So much I can’t say for fear of giving away something and this is definitely where the journey is part of the biggest thrill of all!
