A novel to transport you to a French hairdresser

Clara oh Clara, how I wish you were my hairdresser! Your chat and banter warmed my heart from the start and I did not what to leave your chair! I’d go bald to hear your chatter and spend time with you.  She’s quirky and utterly relatable and how she talks about books just made my heart sing.

This is a thin read but it’s packed full of joy, books and laughter. For such a thin book, it’s a wonder just what is contained within. Short, snappy paragraphs mimic the chat in the hairdresser’s chair inbetween cuts, hairdryers and other treatments.

The heart of this novel is full – how do you feel when you find a novel that touches your heart, one you can’t stop thinking about, and one that changes you forever. Clara finds such a  book and she goes on a journey of self discovery in the most wonderful of ways. Ah it was such a pleasure to go on this with her!

I haven’t this author. It’s the first ones to be translated into French apparently. Next time I go to France, I’m getting his backlist. (Yes I know I could order online but it’s not the same) Got to read more!
