Go somewhere different with a book – Travel Literary Style

  • Submitted: 28th April 2020

Stuck within the same four walls? Not with a book you’re not!

Home is normally where the heart is. We bookworms love staying at home and reading don’t we? I know I love nothing better. But when you hve to do it, when you are literally stuck at home, reading on the window seat takes on a poignant tone don’t you think? I still love it don’t get me wrong, but I ache to go and read in the park, read with friends, go to the library, the bookshops….

BookTrailTravels

What I really miss? Doing booktrails for real! Aargh there are so many good books out there at the moment that I had been planning to booktrail in real life. Books set in destinations/locations such as Cornwall, others set closer to home and some fantastic Swedish books! Well, that time will come back, so in the meantime BOOKS ARE OUR PASSPORTS TO TRAVELLING LITERARY STYLE

Destinations are everything but what about settings? By settings, I mean places you go to and enjoy visiting such as parks, castles, villages, shops, bars and staying in nice hotels.

Well there’s a drop down list on The BookTrail for that! (Search by setting)

Some of the places you can go:

Novels set in castles/palaces

Books set in bookish settings

Stories set in old houses

Books set in the jungle

Forget the four walls – authors paint such immersive paintings and create such realistic settings that you can soon find yourself in a gothic mansion, a wood full of horror or a nice sunny beach at the drop of a page….
