Map Monday – Welcome to Glorious Tuga
Map Monday
Maps that come with the proof of a book are very exciting. The one that came with Welcome to Glorious Tuga was in colour and very much like the old days of paper maps. It reminded me of the maps that I used to want when I saw them in films about pirates and explorers, often on parchment paper….
Welcome to Glorious Tuga
Why this map is exciting
Just look at the map that came with the proof copy. How more exciting can this be!? It’s like the good old days having a paper map, a treasure hunt of sorts and the promise of what is to come. What will you find with a map in your hand? Oh the adventures you can have with a map like this wandering around a paradise island?
Welcome to Glorious Tuga
This is the kind of maps I used to draw for books such as The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, The Lord of the Rings and all those fantasies we read as a child. I would sketch maps for many stories I read so when this map came with the proof, I whooped with delight!
