Novel set in Tuscany – Summer Dreams at Villa Limoncello – Daisy James has summer and lemon fresh locations written all over it!

There’s a tagline which if this were a real hotel, it should be the advert for it: “Escape to Villa Limoncello… where dreams come true in the most unexpected ways.” Now, some of you may have been to the hotel before for a wedding? Back in March? Well, wait till you see what summer has to offer!

You can always count on Daisy James to welcome you to wherever she transports you…

You’re going to love this if you’ve just been to the villa in the last visit in March. The Summer Dreams picks up only a few weeks after and so you really get the ‘second week’ feeling of being on holiday in Italy! Oh the location is luscious and the settings stunning as you can expect from Daisy James and it’s a wonderful feeling to be back in her villa.

So, Summer Dreams? Sounds lovely and just what I need at the moment. Izzie and Luca are working hard to make the villa make a profit and so they’re on a course to improve the food and the general visit they give to guests. The course is called Painting and Pasta which sounds fantastic to be honest as any excuse to have a bunch of recipes and foodie sentences in there. There’s even recipes in the back if you can wait until you finish but to be fair, I think that is too much of a challenge! Eat while you read, that’s what I say.

Careful though – there’s a mystery involving food poisoning at the centre of the story. Izzie and Luca turn all Miss Marple and try to find out the cause.
Who has been poisoned and would someone actually have done it on purpose? Well, there’s a few people that might have had the chance to do it, and some people seem to be hiding something…

So, in short this book is like a package holiday with good food, great locations, a central mystery activity and a bit of sight seeing around the area as you go. There’s lots of sunshine too! Ah to be at Villa Limoncello for real!
