Well, THIS was a little exciting recently. The BookTrail was asked to look at the shortlist of the Wilbur and Niso Smith Adventure writing awards. Well, a couple of days later a BOX OF BOOKS arrived. And to top it off, a lovely note and a stunning Tote Bag.

Day made.

Anyway, let’s get back to the Awards and the books!  Let’s find out about The Wilbur and Niso Smith org:

Launched in September 2015, the Wilbur and Niso Smith Foundation is a charitable organisation dedicated to empowering writers, promoting literacy and advancing adventure writing as a genre.

Wilbur Smith was born in Northern Rhodesia (now Zambia), Central Africa, in 1933 and died in 2021.

Niso Smith was born in Tajikistan, Central Asia and has been Managing Director of the Wilbur Smith Enterprise since May 2005.

The six books on the shortlist are:
